"She plays Irish traditional music, but she's originally from Kentucky. She performs as a soloist with the New York Pops Orchestra, but hangs out in bars at Irish sessions with pure-drop trad players. She tours the world with mega-spectacles like Riverdance or Celtic Legends, but her new album, Making Time, is a totally intimate experience."

“Every time Knowles laid into one of her foot-stomping reels, she’d set Gaige Auditorium ablaze.”

January 2012 update!

I am so happy to report that there are TWO confirmed gigs for String Sisters this year! We don't get to together as often as we would like but when we do, it is magic and this year's tours bring us to some magical places for sure. We will finally bring some music home to Ireland at the North Atlantic Fiddle Festival (thanks Liz Doherty!) in Letterkenny in late June and then we will be off to MALAYSIA. Yes, Malaysia. The Rainforest World Music Festival and we can't wait.

Kieran and I are still touring the world with Celtic Legends. We had an extremely busy and hectic year in 2011 with two mega-long tours in the spring and fall as well as shorter tours throughout the year. Ten months on the road every year for the last three- not too shabby! The "new show" has evolved into something we are very proud of, if I do say so myself. We are stunned and humbled by the popularity and success of this show and hope that our contribution has been a part of that great success. Our cast of wonderful dancers and a technical crew have become our family over the last year and that is something that we do not take for granted for a single moment. Our fearless producer is very much to thank for all of his hard work, keeping us on the road and attempting to keep us happy (thanks, E.D.!). The world of entertainment has taken quite a blow in the last year or so and he manages to keep us going. Amazing. We continue to enjoy getting to know every corner of France, returning to some old friends and visiting some new places in South America, and look forward to some new markets in the coming year.

The Fiddle Blog is down for repair and updating.... Some new things happening....More on that by the end of the month....
